To effectively upload images you need to be able to resize images. Fortunately there are some excellent freely available software packages to do this easily. Here are 2 of them.

This is excellent software that simplifies resizing of images and even allows you to work with multiple files at once. Runs in any windows environment.

A simple tool that once installed allows you to seamlessly right click on an image and resize it.
